Associate Professor Dr. Kosit Sripootorn, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Isan (RMUTI) , revealed that Cybermetrics Lab, or Internet Lab, a research group of the Spanish National Research Council, has announced the results of the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities 2024. The rankings of university websites were released in January 2024 via www.webometrics.info. The Webometrics Ranking of World Universities is published twice annually, in January and July. This year, a total of 10,160 universities worldwide participated in the ranking. RMUTI secured the number one spot for the eighth consecutive year, reaffirming its position as the top-quality university among the Rajamangala Universities. In the latest results announced in January 2024, RMUTI was ranked number one among the nine Rajamangala Universities for the eighth time, ranking 23rd in Thailand and moving up 123 places globally to 2492. The rankings for all nine Rajamangala Universities are as follows:
No. 1 RMUTI is ranked 23rd in the country and ranked 2,492th in the world.
2nd place at Suvarnabhumi Airport, 37th in the country and 4,805th in the world
3nd place, Thanyaburi University, 43th in the country and 5,417th in the world
Ranked 4th, Eastern University, ranked 44th in the country and ranked 5,599th in the world.
Ranked 5th, University of Lanna, ranked 60th in the country and ranked 6,385 in the world.
Ranked 6th, Bangkok University, ranked 63th in the country and ranked 6,556 in the world.
Rank 7 Rattanakosin University, 70th in the country and 6,767 in the world.
Ranked 8th, Srivijaya University, ranked 77th in the country and ranked 7,137th in the world.

The criteria for ranking world universities by Cybermetrics Lab in Ranking Web Universities: January 2024 Edition 2024 consist of 3 main indicators:
1. VISIBILITY (50%) is a measure of the number of external networks (subnets) from
Website analytics providers Ahrefs and Majestic compared backlinks that corresponded with the content on each institution's website.
2. TRANSPARENCE or OPENNESS (10%) measures the number of academic works cited in Google Scholar Citations for each university.
3. EXCELLENCE or SCHOLAR (40%) is a measurement of the citation score from Scimago data.
This is an organization that collects academic works from many sources that are reliable and can be referenced.
