This utilization of research findings marks a significant milestone in the collaboration between RMUTI and Lamduan Hospital in Surin Province, in the research and development of smart healthcare systems and the development of medical equipment. The delivery of operating beds today will replace older equipment that has been in use for a long time, and will also enhance the capacity and efficiency of providing public health services to the people in Lamduan District and surrounding areas more comprehensively and effectively.
Associate Professor Dr. Sakrawee Raweekul The director of the RMUTI Research and Development Institute, as the developer of the innovation, revealed that Lamduan Hospital, under the Surin Provincial Public Health Office, is a community hospital providing surgical procedures to the people of Lamduan district and surrounding areas. However, it is currently facing limitations with its old operating tables, which may affect the efficiency and safety of medical treatment. The delivery of the innovation, "4-Axis Electrically and Industrially Controlled Minor Surgery Table," is designed to support minor surgery procedures with precision, smoothness, and increased efficiency for doctors. It is driven by an electrical mechanism and controlled via an automated system (such as a PLC or Microcontroller), focusing on practical use in community hospitals with budget constraints, while also reducing reliance on importing expensive medical equipment from abroad. This innovation was supported by research funding from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) and has been registered as intellectual property under the "copyright" category. "Surgical bed control program" (Information notification number 459408) has been completed. This is considered a medical innovation made by Thai people that will help solve structural problems in public health and contribute to the stable and sustainable growth of Thailand's medical device industry.
