in this regard Assistant Professor Supathinee Kornsingh The Director of the Chunhawan Institute for Academic Services and SME Development welcomed the participants and presented an overview of the project, its objectives, goals, expected outcomes, and operational framework. This was done to foster shared understanding among researchers and network partners. The activity aims to develop a mechanism for technology transfer from the university to communities, farmers, and grassroots entrepreneurs. It focuses on establishing a unit with appropriate technology and ready-to-use innovations as a central mechanism for technology transfer, service, and dissemination, thereby enhancing production capabilities, livelihoods, and sustainable income generation at the local level.
The event included lectures on appropriate technology development, as well as presentations of technological innovations from researchers and developers at the university. These covered areas such as agriculture, silk production, energy, IoT systems, and community machinery, preparing participants for technology transfer and practical application. The event concluded with a workshop to exchange ideas on operational approaches, challenges, needs, and suggestions from partner networks, along with defining future coordination strategies. This is a crucial step in driving the utilization of knowledge, technology, and innovation to systematically and sustainably strengthen the grassroots economy.
