Dr. Wannarat Chanukool The Mayor of Nakhon Ratchasima presided over the opening ceremony, along with the Chairman of the Municipal Council, Deputy Mayors, members of the Municipal Council, and numerous school administrators from within the Nakhon Ratchasima municipal area.

Siriwattana Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni Relations, Representative Assoc.Prof. Kosit Sriphuthorn, Ph.D. The Rector accepted the award on the occasion that the student dormitory of Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, Nakhon Ratchasima, successfully managed its student dormitory cafeteria to meet the SAN standard of "Convenient, Safe, and Standardized".
Professor Sorawit T. Siriwattana The Vice President for Student Affairs and Alumni Relations stated that the certification of the student dormitory cafeteria with the SAN standard, signifying its adherence to food preparation and storage standards, is a cause for great congratulations. Only eight out of over 50 cafeterias in the Nakhon Ratchasima municipality have received this certification, reflecting the dedication, commitment, and care of all involved, particularly Ms. Supanee Masayamphasakul, Head of Student Dormitories, who has devoted herself to overseeing the food stalls. The SAN standard verifies every process, from raw material storage and food preparation to the storage of dry food items. This certification guarantees that the food sold in the student dormitories is clean and safe.
Assoc.Prof. Kosit Sriphuthorn, Ph.D. The President of RMUTI further added that currently, many challenges affecting daily life, including health issues, transportation, and the economy, make hygiene a crucial concern for the university. The SAN certification of the student dormitory cafeteria assures students residing in the dormitories that, in addition to convenient transportation and cost savings, they can be confident in consuming clean, high-standard food. Furthermore, it is noteworthy that the RMUTI student dormitory cafeteria is the only university-level cafeteria in the Nakhon Ratchasima municipal area to receive this certification, which is a source of pride for all involved and the students.
This workshop, "Principles and Standards of Food Sanitation under the Clean School Project 2569," is organized to elevate food sanitation standards in school canteens. It aims to promote knowledge and understanding of canteen management according to the Department of Health's SAN and SAN Plus standards among educational personnel, canteen supervisors, food handlers, and student leaders, and to develop a sustainable food sanitation surveillance system in educational institutions.
Over 200 participants from 44 schools under the Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality attended the training. Speakers from the Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Public Health Office and Public Health Center 9 Nakhon Ratchasima kindly shared their knowledge and experience to effectively improve food safety and student health in schools.
