Date 20 July 2569 Associate Professor Dr. Kosit Sriputhon The President of Rajamangala University of Technology Isan signed a Memorandum of Understanding on research and development of technology to promote the agricultural sector with CLP Group. Ms. Nawatchara Leekomolchai The Chief Executive Officer of CLP Group of Companies presided over the signing ceremony at Kana 1 Meeting Room, 3rd floor, Office of the President Building, Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, Nakhon Ratchasima. Executives from both organizations were present as witnesses. This collaboration marks a significant step in combining the strengths of the education and private sectors to drive "Research and Development" in agricultural technology and innovation. The focus is on developing modern agriculture (Smart Farm) that can be practically applied in production, thereby increasing efficiency, reducing costs, enhancing safety, minimizing environmental impact, and sustainably improving the quality of life for Thai farmers.
Furthermore, the collaboration encompasses the development and transfer of knowledge, technology, and innovation to the production sector; the promotion of research findings for both public and commercial benefit; and the development of the capabilities of personnel and students to produce highly skilled manpower to support the transformation of the agricultural sector in the digital age and modern agro-industry. This collaboration aligns with the university's strategic plan under "Cluster 2: Agriculture Technology & Food Security," which focuses on developing knowledge, technology, and innovation to address the challenges of climate change and future food security.
The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding marks a significant milestone in elevating the role of Rajamangala University of Technology Isan as a key mechanism for research and innovation for national development. It also marks the beginning of deeper collaboration between the two institutions to create tangible results and generate balanced and sustainable benefits for the economy, society, and the environment in the long term.
