Its distinguishing features include long, slender grains, a clean white color when cooked, a soft texture, and a unique, delicate natural aroma. The gift basket contained the following:

Organic Hom Mali Rice “Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, Surin Campus” is produced from the traditional “Khao Dawk Mali 105” rice variety on a 190-rai (approximately 76-hectare) educational farm. The rice undergoes organic management and production processes at every stage, from soil preparation to milling at the university's rice mill, which is certified organic by the Organic Agriculture Standards Office (OASO). RMUTI's SIE fragrant rice is a high-quality Jasmine rice 105 grown in the Thung Kula Rong Hai area of Roi Et Province, a Geographical Indication (GI) zone. This freshly harvested rice from the Rajamangala University of Technology Isan (RMUTI) fields in Roi Et Province is fragrant, soft, with beautiful white grains, clean, and safe. It is also certified organic by the Organic Standards Office (OSO).





This participation reflects Rajamangala University of Technology Isan's commitment to promoting and developing research, technology, and innovation in agriculture, as well as elevating the quality of Thai rice to be recognized nationally and internationally. It also aims to support the sustainable development of the agricultural sector and improve the quality of life for Thai farmers.
The Department of Rice, in organizing the 2026 National Rice and Farmers' Day, focuses on linking rice development policies to practical implementation in rice-growing areas nationwide. Emphasis is placed on developing production systems, marketing, and management to reduce costs, increase production efficiency, and enhance the security of Thai farmers, along with disseminating knowledge, technology, and innovations relevant to modern agriculture.
