Assistant Professor Dr. Diskul Cholsalasin Faculty members from the Transportation Department, Faculty of Rail and Transportation Systems, participated.International project Global Sustainable Transport Cultural Exchange (Phase I, 2026) under the theme "Capacity Building on Railway Connectivity Standards Scheme along the Trans-Asian Railway Network" Which will be held from July 12 to August 1, 2569 in the People's Republic of China.
The project was organized by the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China, in collaboration with the Global Sustainable Transport Innovation and Knowledge Center (GSTIKC) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP). Representatives from various Asian countries participated to exchange knowledge on rail system development, international rail network connectivity standards, transport innovation, and approaches to sustainable transportation development.

Throughout his participation in the program, Assistant Professor Dr. Diskul Cholsalasin attended academic seminars, in-depth discussions with international experts, and visited leading railway system organizations and research centers in the People's Republic of China. He also participated in meetings to establish networks for research collaboration, personnel development, and upgrading regional railway connectivity standards.
Participation in this project is a crucial mechanism in driving RMUTI's internationalization strategy, focusing on developing the capabilities of its personnel to possess international-level knowledge and experience, as well as strengthening collaborative networks with organizations and experts from abroad. This will lead to further advancements in teaching, research, and innovation.
Furthermore, the knowledge and experience gained from participating in this project are crucial in elevating the development of the university's rail and transportation curriculum to international standards in a tangible way. It also strengthens academic, research, and innovation capabilities to be on par with international standards, playing a significant role in supporting the development of Thailand's rail infrastructure to be efficient, safe, and sustainable.
Furthermore, it lays a strategic foundation for connecting Thailand's transportation network to the regional and global levels, aligning with the trends in modern transportation development and the promotion of the green economy, which will lead to sustainable development in the Asian region in the future.
