The ceremony was presided over by the King, along with the executive committee, faculty, staff, and students, who all participated to express their loyalty and gratitude for His Majesty's immeasurable benevolence.
The event began with a merit-making ceremony, where the chairman lit incense and candles to worship the Triple Gem, received precepts, and, along with the executive committee, offered gifts to 10 monks. The monks then offered blessings, and the chairman and participants poured water as a symbolic act of merit-making before joining in the alms-giving ceremony of rice and dried food to dedicate merit to His Majesty the King.
Next came the ceremony of laying floral wreaths as a mark of respect. Assistant Professor Suraphon Wacharopakun The presiding officer laid a floral wreath before the royal portrait and delivered a speech commemorating Her Majesty's benevolence, before leading the participants in singing a hymn in praise of the Queen Mother, demonstrating their unwavering loyalty.
On this occasion, the presiding officer paid tribute to His Majesty the King's boundless compassion and numerous royal duties performed for the well-being of his subjects throughout the country. These included social welfare, assistance for the underprivileged, conservation of natural resources and the environment, promotion of harmonious coexistence between people and forests, and the promotion of arts and crafts, all of which have led to the preservation and continuation of Thai culture, making it recognized internationally.
This event reflects our gratitude for His Majesty's boundless compassion and mercy towards the Thai people, just as... "Mother of the Land" This will forever remain etched in the hearts of the administrators, staff, students of RMUTI, and the Thai people.
