
On May 7, 2569, Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, in collaboration with the Office of the Auditor General and Surin Province, organized the project “Strengthening Public Financial Discipline to Increase the Efficiency of Budget Spending by Government Agencies within Surin Province” at the Phanthip Meeting Room, RMUTI Surin Campus. The event was honored by the presence of... Associate Professor Dr. Kosit Sriputhon The President of RMUTI welcomed the project participants and reported on the project's objectives, highlighting the university's role in integrating cooperation with the Surin Provincial Office and the Surin Provincial Audit Office. The aim is to enhance knowledge and understanding of laws, regulations, and practices related to budget management, finance, accounting, and procurement for government executives and personnel in the area. This will help reduce errors and risks in operations, while raising the standards of public sector management to be efficient and consistent with good governance principles. Following this, Mr. Chamroen Wanphet, Governor of Surin Province The honoror presided over the opening ceremony and emphasized the importance of maintaining fiscal discipline as a key mechanism for driving efficient, transparent, and accountable government budget management, ultimately benefiting the public at the local level. More than 900 executives and personnel from government agencies in Surin province attended the event.






Following the opening ceremony, there was a special lecture by... Mr. Montien Charoenphol, Governor of the State Audit Office. The topic of "Achieving Effective and Efficient Results in Government Budget Spending" conveyed guidelines on budget management, oversight of government spending, and the creation of a robust auditing system to ensure that budget spending is cost-effective and meets the country's development goals.
In the afternoon, an in-depth lecture on financial and procurement regulations was given by experts from the Surin Provincial Audit Office. The team included the Director of the Provincial Audit Office, the Director of the Audit Group, and other relevant officers. They imparted knowledge on key topics such as budget and financial statement preparation, revenue collection, disbursement of funds by government agencies, as well as asset management and procurement procedures. The aim was to ensure participants understood the processes correctly, completely, and in accordance with regulations and laws.



In addition, the event included a "Consultation Clinic" throughout the day, where officials from the Surin Provincial Audit Office provided advice and answered questions from executives and staff to enhance practical understanding and enable them to apply the knowledge effectively in their work.

This project is another important mechanism for raising the standards of public sector management at the local level through integrated cooperation among relevant agencies. It aims to strengthen fiscal discipline, promote efficient and transparent budget spending, and ensure sustainable benefits for the people of Surin province. Furthermore, it contributes to the concrete implementation of the government's No Gift Policy and helps to develop the Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA) process at Rajamangala University of Technology Isan to achieve mutually beneficial results.
