Siriwattana, Vice President for Student Affairs and Alumni Relations along with Ms. Kantpicha Nooboon, Head of Student Welfare and Health Services. and nMs. Chansorn Kemayura, Head of Nursing and Health Insurance Department. Attended the 1st/2569 Regional Project Steering Committee Meeting (Northeast Region) at the Jermkhwan Meeting Room, Bayasita Hotel, Khon Kaen University, Khon Kaen Province.
This knowledge exchange meeting was a collaboration between the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (THPF) and Chiang Mai University, with Khon Kaen University serving as the regional hub. The project aims to develop a health support system for students and personnel, following the ASEAN University Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN) guidelines. This initiative promotes health-promoting universities and develops standard practices, tools, and innovations in mental health that can be practically applied in higher education institutions. RMUTI is one of the participating educational institutions in this project.
Professor Sorawit T. Siriwattana, Vice President for Student Affairs and Alumni Relations It was stated that the exchange of knowledge by the Regional Project Steering Committee (Northeast Region) provided valuable insights into solutions to health-related problems faced by universities in the Northeast region. This information will be used by universities to review and improve their services. Importantly, the information from the meeting will also be used to design Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for caring for students experiencing mental health issues, ensuring a consistent standard across all faculties and campuses.

The university supports the Student Affairs Division in designing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for caring for students requiring mental health support and disseminating these SOPs to all faculties across all campuses. This aims to make the university a “second home” where all students can learn happily and safely, in accordance with the President’s policy. “Studying here is nothing but happiness.”
